Hyperdiverse is a swiss-born association that acts on intersectional facilitation, speaking and storytelling events. Creating programs that serves communities, organisations in the public and private sectors.
Why Hyperdiverse?
The name "Hyperdiverse" holds deep significance. It represents a vessel that encompasses a wide range of realities beyond race and gender. This name emphasizes the importance of integrating different aspects of our identities and experiences to create healing narratives that promote wholeness. It's a concept that embraces beauty, multidimensionality, and overall well-being.
The founder, Arcy, coined this term to invite wholeness everywhere she goes, drawing from her experiences as an expat, femicide survivor, afro-caribbean, insular, lesbian, vegan, and woman of color. Her goal is to transition from surviving to thriving and to inspire others to do the same. This approach can spark positive conversations and curiosity, encouraging individuals to engage with and learn from a wide range of experiences and perspectives.

From Valais to a Vision for Switzerland
Hyperdiverse was born from a deep desire to create belonging. Our founder, an Afro-Caribbean, queer, expat woman, left her vibrant homeland to settle in a traditional village in the Swiss canton of Valais. Determined to make a difference, she faced roadblocks when advocating for diversity initiatives in a 125-year-old company. Yet, her persistence led to a landmark victory: the creation of the company's first-ever Queer ERG.
The overwhelmingly positive response and the joyous sight of the company represented at Zurich Pride for the very first time ignited a spark. It was a powerful reminder of the transformative impact of inclusion and the urgent need for more intersectional spaces across Switzerland.
Inspired by this experience, our founder established Hyperdiverse. We are dedicated to empowering organizations to embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion, recognizing that every person's story holds power. Through intersectional awareness, education, and transformative storytelling, we envision a Switzerland where every individual feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.
